Bulk Carriers (P.E.I.) Limited was founded in 1973 by it’s current president/owner, Jack Kelly.  Bulk Carriers continues to be a family business with Jack’s wife and two son’s filling key positions within the company.  When the company started, it was a one truck operation focusing it’s resources on the hauling of bulk petroleum throughout Prince Edward Island for Gulf Canada.

In the mid 1990’s, Bulk Carriers (P.E.I.) Limited diversified into long haul refrigerated transport and has concentrated on that market ever since.
