Our company’s fleet is made up of all reefer trailers, with a significant number of late-model to new power units. Using a trailer fleet made up of entirely reefer units provides greater flexibility in meeting the requirements for carrying your products. As well, our commitment to quality and re-investment in our resources reduces break-downs and down time, which translates into on-time delivery.
Along with this, all of our trucks and trailers are equipped with GPS technology so we can easily know exactly where all of our equipment is at all times. By incorporating this technology into our fleet, we are able to accurately deal with your enquiries regarding estimated time of arrival. This technology also assists our drivers in determining the best routes possible, thereby improving the efficient movement of all freight. Combined with this, we have installed scanners in all trucks to allow for the efficient billing of all freight bills, and have required backup documents to be sent to the office immediately after the loads are delivered.
Our fleet is not the only thing to be updated as technology and the industry changes. In May 2012, we decided to move away from paper driver logs and use Electronic Hours of Service, which has seen a huge improvement in our record keeping.
Currently, we are in the process of updating our facilities to include a state of the art truck wash facility. With this planned addition, we will be able to ensure our vehicles are both presentable and well maintained, which will benefit us in many ways.
